Project Report | Aug 23, 2021
2021 Summer Lab

By Professor N | Program Director of Creative Thinkers Lab

Dear friends,

We at the Creative Thinkers Lab keep working passionately with one single minded mission:  To support and empower Creative Kids in the Caribbean.

Led by successful and often famous Creative Thinkers from around the world, the Creative Thinkers Lab at The Caribbean Dyslexia Center was launched in 2019 as a free after school program for kids who think differently.

We are proud to announce that our students are now involved in four new innovative projects that facilitate learning experiences in real-world borderless creative collaborations:

  1. The UNITED NATIONS youth-led initiative dedicated to sharing sustainable solutions tackling environmental issues worldwide.
  2. The M.I.T. developed portfolio program that helps kids submit applications to post-secondary institutions and universities.
  3. The development of a student-created Anime series that will focus on environmental issues in the Caribbean.
  4. A recent partnership with the Barbados Ministry of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology, exploring the relationship between Science and Creativity.

Additionally, during this year's Summer Lab we were able to reach an all-time enrollment of over 50 young creative thinkers from around the Caribbean who took part in both remote online classes and mask to mask sessions.

We are very grateful for your donations and looking forward to your continued support in our mission to Empowering Creative Kids in the Caribbean.

Best wishes,
Norman Mayers
Program Director,
Caribbean Dyslexia Centre and
Founder of Creative Thinkers Lab
