Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives and Respective Donors,
Leadership Initiatives partners with several business owners that play a major role in their communities. We believe that supporting the business with innovative solutions will, in turn, help better the community as a whole. Our International Business Alliance Program (IBAP) enables us to work with promising young leaders to develop innovative ideas for our business partners in Nigeria. These ideas range from simple solutions to inventive creations, enabling our business owners to enhance their organizations through creative, cooperative thinking.
One example of the exciting changes brought about by IBAP is displayed through our work with a catering business in Nigeria, owned by a young woman named Rabi. After graduating from secondary school, Rabi took the initiative to start her own organization. Leadership Initiatives partnered with Rabi and now provides her with business support and classes to encourage her passions and further her entrepreneurial acumen. A designated IBAP team worked with Rabi to create practical solutions for some of the problems she encountered while running her business. The team strategized ways to best preserve food by means of particular storing techniques, natural ingredients, and preservatives. The simple, effective ideas helped Rabi better her business and provided new ways for her to distinguish herself from other local catering services.
IBAP teams work hand-in-hand with our business partners to provide otherwise unavailable expertise and underpinnings. The LI staff prioritizes cooperation and personalization to understand individual problems and create effective business plans. Our business partners are then able to invest in their communities by generating jobs and strengthening customer relationships. The dedicated efforts of our LI staff and business partners catalyze changes made in individual lives and communities, allowing us to further progress our mission.
