Sarah - An elderly who defeated Delta, but what about the rest?

By Baraa AlSharbaji | Fundraising Officer

Sarah is an elderly woman who has got a new life after facing difficult days in Idleb Isolation Hospital while struggling with the emerging Delta virus. The elderly woman, in her seventies, could hardly breathe and she suffered many painful memories. “I could not sleep on my back for days, and I completely lost my appetite for food. I was unable to get up without help; I lost my whole strength," she explained, “but the treatment and good health care really saved my life”.

Sarah along with 259 recovered cases had received the necessary medical care in our hospitals to overcome the COVID-19 disease, thanks to your exceptional response and support in these most difficult circumstances.

Unfortunately, not all people were lucky enough to survive, as we lost seven of our patients last week, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,191.

While the occupancy rate is 100% in our intensive care beds, we still need your support to continue to save more suffocating Delta Variant patients.

We are waiting for you to help them recover, improve their health and reduce the number of deaths.
