Last week, in northern Syria, we had 8 deaths and 1,500 daily infections with Delta variant of the Coronavirus.
We face now the peak of the virus outbreak in northwest Syria. There are a million and a half people in the camps encountering the risk of infection with the new virus variant. The intensive care beds and isolation wards are entirely full, and in light of the severe shortage of oxygen and medical supplies as well as the absence of applying the measures like wearing masks and social distancing, we face a difficult humanitarian dilemma. We need you to support us so that we can face the disaster.
