33 beds in intensive care are full… Leaving many unlucky patients unsupported. Your response is their lifeline!
The situation is deteriorating in northern Syria due to the rapid spread and the severity of the new Delta Variant. We have started to purchase more intensive care beds, as our three centers are working at their maximum capacity and they cannot accept more critical patients. The capacity of the oxygen stations is also not sufficient to cover the current needs of our hospitals due to the increasing number of infected cases; as a result, we are resorting to secure oxygen from other health facilities at cost.
Your previous contributions were essential for our patients, as you provided them with oxygen and medicines and saved their lives, but we need your support again with the approach of winter, as the situation portends a real disaster especially when infection cases are recorded now among children as well as among young people who support their families.
We only have 33 intensive care beds in our three centers, with an occupancy rate of 100%, which is absolutely not enough to meet the need. Your urgent response is desperately needed to save our patients.
Your support at this critical time is very crucial, and will be exceptional and more humane than ever.
