“When I felt that I had symptoms of Coronavirus, I quarantined myself at home, but with the worsening symptoms such as headache, high temperature, coughing, shortness of breath and diarrhea, I was admitted to SEMA Isolation Hospital in the city of Jisr Ash-Shughur.” These were the words of M. Al-Omar narrating his experience with Coronavirus (COVID- 19).
M. Al-Omar, is a displaced person from the town of Kafr Nobol of the southern rural Idleb, and he was infected with the COVID-19 virus. When he quarantined himself at his home, the infection was transmitted to his wife and his four children (3 boys and a girl).
After 7 days of following up on his case at SEMA Isolation Hospital in the city of Jisr Al-Shughour, which is one of SEMA's centers for dealing and managing cases infected with COVID-19 virus, his condition improved, the symptoms began to fade away, and he eventually was in good health. Based on the experience he faced, Muhammad recommended that everyone should follow the preventive measures, avoid mingling with people and shaking hands, and maintain personal hygiene.
