In the last few months we have distributed over 500 food packages to needy people in many remote mountainous regions in Northern Thailand. Most of them were villages of hilltribe people in Chiangdao, ChomThong, and Samoeng areas. Not only did we bring food but we also visited the homes of the elderly, sick, and disabled people to bring love, care, and hope during this time of need during the pandemic. Even though there were many needs to be met, it was a life saving and life changing process for both our team and the people we visited. We used this experience as an opportunity for 20 young adults to gain experience serving others. As future leaders in their communities, we wanted to give them an opportunity to learn how to love, encourage, and support other people in their region. We were able to safely do this by following the COVID precautions given to us by the Thai government. The people we served were full of joy and we saw many tears of gratefulness from the tangible love and care we brought to them.
