Dealing with COVID-19 is difficult.
That’s why we wanted to take a moment to especially thank our donors who have contributed generously and graciously to our COVID-19 relief efforts for rural communities in the Hwange Rural District, in Zimbabwe.
Through our COVID-19 projects aimed at protecting our partner communities – these communities often have limited access to preventative resources from the rapidly spreading COVID-1 – we aim to increase access to healthcare, running water and sanitary supplies and facilities. Increasing access to these facilities helps spread the virus, which we know is key.
Because of your donations, we’ve been able to reduce the negative impact on the livelihoods of people across the Hwange region. Investing in local income generating groups will empower & improve resilience. Providing small livestock will help protect livelihoods and increase food security.
Implementing and supporting these interventions will enable us to follow through with an emergency response to the hardships COVID-19 has created for the communities.
