We appreciate your support for this project. I am writing to share some updates about ActionAid’s emergency response for Covid-19 Relief in India. Thank you for taking your time to learn about and support our work.
Climate disaster, conflict, displacement, and other humanitarian crises have and continue to disproportionately affect marginalized communities. The impacts of Covid-19 are no different. ActionAid prioritizes women as part of its human right- based approach to emergency response, and it shows in our work. To prevent gender-based violence during these tough times, we have provided safe spaces for women and girls. We have also prioritized children by providing them with educational materials and toys. In order to continue Covid-19 relief, we have educated local leaders on Covid-19 prevention, provided dignity and hygiene kits, and have spread important health-related information to communities in India.
