Dear Supporters,
As we near the end of another year, we reflect on the significant milestones we have achieved through your support in our food program.Through your contributions, we’ve been able to nourish not just bodies but also minds, giving children in Kibera hope for a brighter future.
In this holiday period, our food program continued to serve over 300 families in Kibera. Imagine a child who denies themselves lunch and packs it to take home and share with his or her family, and feels guilty whenever he or she eats without them for fear they might not have something to eat. With access to nutritious breakfast and lunch, children at the center have gained strength needed to play and learn.
Recognizing the setbacks many children might have faced in their time in school and considering the long school holiday, we introduced free catch-up classes every morning to help bridge the learning gap, allowing children to reengage with their education and have personalized tutoring and improve their grades.
As Christmas approaches, we’re launching a special campaign to bring festive cheer to the children of Kibera. Our goal is to provide them with not just the essentials, but also a moment of joy and celebration. This includes small gifts, festive meals, and a community gathering to make this holiday season unforgettable.
Your support has been the cornerstone of our work, and we are deeply thankful for your continued generosity. As we celebrate this season of giving, we hope you know how much your contributions means to the children of Kibera. From all of us at Project Elimu, we wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with joy, love, and abundance!
