A local group in the Athlone community in the midlands of Ireland are planning a 12 km walk / ride from Athlone to Heritage Park in Moate. This is to highlight the need for support of those with mental health issues and to fundraise for Hope Counselling. The event should culminate in a picnic at the park but the long term benefits will be felt by the community as monies raised are used to help people needing counselling.
We are very encouraged by this - as those involved with Hope Trust experience the support both financially but more importantly as a partnering and working alongside us to bring relief.
We have experienced the ongoing support of GlobalGiving and the various benefactors in the same way. Knowing that there are people unknown to us who would care enough to reach out a helping hand to someone else in a different country who is struggling, is very heart warming.
We continue to offer counselling in Athlone, Galway and Roscommon. We hope to increase this in the coming months and look forward to reporting in the next quarter progress towards this.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support, good wishes and encouragements!
God bless you
