2020 has been a challenging year for us all but your support has quite literally kept us going! Your contribution has helped us cover our costs for this year and we are so grateful for all your help.
Current cases of COVID-19 are rising again in Sri Lanka. Local lockdowns are in place to try and curb the spread and all branches of Prithipura Communities remain on lockdown to protect the vulnerable. Our usual sources of funding increased for a while but not to their usual levels and with restricted movement again in Sri Lanka, we have again seen a decrease.
All the children and adults with disabilities that live with us remain safe and well and we continue to do all we can to protect them but also ensure growth and development with stimulating activities.
With the current resurgences of COVID-19 all over the world, including in Sri Lanka, we are planning for a challenging year in 2021. As a result, we are re- launching our COVID-19 appeal in order to raise funds to cover costs for 2021.
The project launches on Tuesday 1st December – GIVING TUESDAY. Thanks to GlobalGiving’s #MoveAMillion incentive fund, the more you give on this day, the larger share we win out of $1 million USD in bonus funds.
If you have set up a monthly donation, you don’t have to do anything. Your donation will automatically transfer to our 2021 project.
