In the heart of Corcovado National Park, surrounded by one of the most impressive displays of biodiversity in the world, small actions make a big difference. Today, we want to share with you a small piece of that story.
Thanks to the support we received, we were able to purchase gas cylinders for the Los Patos Operational Center. While this may seem like a simple acquisition, it represents a significant improvement in the working conditions of our park rangers and staff, who care for the park every day with dedication and love for nature.
However, like many conservation systems, ours faces a limited budget that cannot cover all its needs. Thanks to this fund, we have also been able to provide donations of essential items that allow rangers to carry out their work in the best possible way.
These supplies include maintenance and operational products such as specialty oils, brooms, locks, and cleaning materials; office tools and supplies such as pens, mouse pads, and printer ink; as well as technical equipment like heavy-duty measuring tape and distilled water for batteries. These resources, though simple, make a significant difference in daily tasks and in the quality of life of those who protect this valuable ecosystem.
Each of these items not only supports their everyday duties but also improves the well-being of the staff who work tirelessly to safeguard this natural treasure.
Celebrating Half a Century of Protected Nature
And 2025 is no ordinary year. We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Corcovado National Park!
To commemorate this special milestone, a series of activities are being organized throughout the year: festivals, contests, educational talks, cultural and sporting events, and a research symposium featuring some of the most important studies conducted within the park. All of this is aimed at highlighting Corcovado’s environmental and social value to the region and the country.
Committees are already working hard to ensure this celebration will be unforgettable, and with your help, we know we can make it happen. Your support translates not only into resources, but into hope, commitment, and love for nature. We will be sharing more updates in our upcoming reports.
Thank you for walking alongside us on this journey of conservation and celebration.
