This project aims at contributing to stop the spreading of the virus of COVID 19 and through the donation of prevention kits and communication. The implementation of this project is very important because it will focus on communication to sensitise populations how to prevent themselves and the donation of prevention kits. In fact, we will conduct behaviour change activities in communities (awareness raising sessions) which are essential to achieve the direct effects of the project (end COVID 19)
The coronavirus disease: It is a communicable respiratory disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus that causes illness in humans. COVID 19 was first reported in China, but it has now spread throughout the world. There is currently no vaccine or treatment for COVID-19. Infection can be prevented by observing personal hygiene practices The latest WHO assessment on June 1, 2020 shows 6,152,160 confirmed cases, including 371,700 deaths.
The project will solve the problem by: Establish a permanent communication link with the population in order to promote the development of a culture of public health; Encouraging each citizen to become an actor and responsible in front of the risk; Sensitise population to avoid human-to-human transmission of COVID-19; Provide prevention kits and washable masks to populations.
The potencial long term impact of this project are: People keep a healthy lifestyle; People regularly wash hands with soap and water, or clean them with alcohol-based hand rub. Communities' knowledge of COVID 19 and its consequences are improved and they take measures to better protect themselves and the others; Infection is prevented and the transmission of COVID 19 is stopped.
