Continuing Malala's Dream - Educating Pakistan

Education is the only important tool through which we can achieve a brighter future in our life. Unfortunately in Asian and underdeveloped countries the importance of education is mere at large scale. There is still a myth in minds of people that if we educate our children they will forget the respect of everyone in their life and become an ignorant person. They believe that education ruins our life and the only source to spend a happy life is to do work in different places as worker, laborer or as beggar. This issue is most common in rural areas where people bar their children to go to school and get their daughters married at very early age.

There is a need to create awareness among people about education. Many organizations and NGO’s are working towards betterment of society by educating people about the importance of education. Education is the knowledge of putting one's potentials to maximum use. Without education, no one can find the proper right path in this world. This importance of education is for two reasons; Education makes man a right thinker. Without education, no one can think properly in an appropriate context. It tells an individual how to think and how to make decision. The second reason for the importance of education is that only through the attainment of education; a person is enabled to receive information from the external world.

Pakistan’s literacy rate has declined from 60 percent to 58 percent, as revealed by the economic survey of Pakistan. 

The NUR Outreach program has been educating children of all ages since 1985 with a vision to act as a catalyst of change to bring about socio- economic development of under-served communities, through an integrated approach to healthcare, education and economic empowerment.

The vision of Fatima Memorial Hospital and NUR Foundation is to provide all kind of formal and non-formal education to the students of unprivileged areas where the economic condition of the families is below the line and cannot bear the fees of their children for schooling. NUR Foundation is providing free education to students of those areas. Now after spending 34 years in this social cause NUR foundation laid a base for college students and also providing free education to its Intermediate and graduation students with high results.

This social cause needs a continuous support to provide hassle free education to all our underprivileged students for their shining future. This could not be possible without the support of our valued donors and we want their and your support in order to continue this work for the whole life.
