The International School for Science and Culture added a Career Technical Education Lab for students in grades 5,6,7 and 8 this year. In order to complete furnishing the lab with the computers needed to support the 12 modules that are going to be available to students, ISSAC utilized your generous contributions and purchased Windows stations and a Mac station.
The Career Technical Education Lab contains modules as varied as Flight, Mateirals Processing, and Dentistry. These were funded through a Federal/State grant program for startup charter schools. Your contributions to ISSAC through GlobalGiving allowed us to complete furnishing this lab with the general purpose computers needed to utlize the CTE modules. For our students having a hands-on, value-creating real-world experience is nothing short of miraculous in terms of its impact on motivation, focus and confidence-building. We are so grateful to see this shift to an extremely positive mindset even in otherwise less motivated students.
As we continue to advance in our third year, we are tremendously grateful for your generous support! GlobalGiving has paved for us a great way to not only start, but continue our fundraising journey. ISSAC simply cannot deliver a curriculum of such depth and breadth — that goes well beyond the standard academics to include Social Emotional Learning, and creativity and problem solving skills — without the support of community members like you. Our students are learning; they are dreaming big dreams; and developing into amazing global citizens.
We truly appreciate your continued support.
