Exciting Developments!

Dear Supporters and Friends of COCE,

The construction of the Community Library in Sijowa Village, Busia County, Kenya is progressing at a fantastic pace! We are thrilled to witness the library transforming into a vibrant, safe space for the community to gather, learn, and explore.Your amazing support, through donations and events, has brought us this far. Since our last update, significant advancements have been made. The library's sturdy foundation is complete, with walls standing tall and a secure roof overhead. Doors and window frames have been welded and installed. Moving towards completion, the team is diligently working to raise money and complete the final stages of the interior. This phase involves plastering the walls and ceilings, tiling the floor, painting, and the critical installation of window panes and electrical and plumbing systems.To cross the finish line, we humbly request your support throughout 2024. We remain incredibly grateful for your continued engagement and support. We'll keep you updated on further progress as we inch closer to the library's grand opening, projected sometime in 2025 if all goes well.
