In November 2024, Kumekucha Quest and its partners engaged in an intensive training program aimed at strengthening community-led healing and wellbeing initiatives. The training focused on empowering partners, including youth groups and community leaders, to become circle keepers and wellbeing facilitators, equipped with tools and practices to support individual and collective healing.
The first two weeks of the training emphasized well-being education, dialogue, and storytelling, fostering a deeper commitment to personal and community healing. Participants from the Teen Seed and BMA programs engaged in shared learning, daily well-being practices like dancing, and meaningful exchanges that reinforced the value of healing and thriving within their communities.
Building on this foundation, the 12-week community-initiated care program is currently underway. This phase focuses on implementing the knowledge and tools gained during the training, enabling the circle keepers to facilitate healing circles and well-being practices within their communities. The program offers ongoing support and engagement, as partners continue their journey of healing and growth.
Thank you for supporting our youth-led healing initiative. Together, we move forward with hope, taking meaningful steps toward a brighter future each day.
