In January 2024, 15 Community Healthcare Workers (CHWs) were trained at CRP by three Level 2 trainees, overseen by Master Trainer Fahmida Banu. This cohort of CHWs are a mix of special educators and expert parents who volunteer in the community. Home visits will now be starting. The Level 2 trainees will be supporting the CHWs throughout the year as they visit and work with disabled children and their families in the community. We will measure the impact of this training by CHWs submitting quarterly progress reports, detailing the progress the children with disabilities are making. Fahmida will assess whether the L2 trainees, who received their classroom-based training in December 2022, are ready to be certified and receive their certificates.
