Empowering Rural Women Entrepreneurs:  SOFT SKILL TRAINING

Inspiring Change Through Training: RUG recently conducted an innovative training session based on the Competency-Based Economics through Formation of Enterprise (CEFE) approach. This structured methodology unlocked participants' potential by fostering motivation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. The four-phase process—orientation, sensitization, strengthening, and consolidation—was customized to meet the specific needs of our beneficiaries, ensuring practical and impactful learning outcomes.

Workshop Highlights: Over four dynamic days, beneficiaries participated in activities designed to enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities. The training emphasized:

  • Foundations & Teamwork: Established a strong understanding of business basics and essential personal skills.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Using exercises like the Tower Challenge to promote creative thinking, adaptability, and decision-making.
  • Marketing Strategies: Engaging in a Mini Market activity to explore concepts like Market Mix and cost categorization, enhancing their understanding of business expenses.
  • Financial Planning: Practical sessions focused on effective budgeting and resource allocation to ensure business sustainability.

Building Sustainable Ventures: ENTREPRENEURIAL TALK SERIES

Inspiring Insights for Growth: We hosted an Entrepreneurial Talk Series for 23 rural women entrepreneurs, delivering practical knowledge and actionable steps to advance their ventures. Key takeaways included:

  • The importance of business registration for legitimacy and growth.
  • Benefits of collective action in fostering collaboration and shared resources.
  • Strategies for accessing and managing financial resources effectively.

This series empowered participants to drive economic development and sustainability within their communities.

Celebrating Success and Impact:GRADUATION OF COHORT THREE BENEFICIARIES

On October 29th, the Community Green Economy Project (CGEP) marked a significant milestone with the graduation of 23 rural women at the Agona Business Resource Centre. These women completed specialized training in entrepreneurial skills, including snail farming and soap making, positioning them for economic empowerment.

Event Highlights:

  • Inspiring Speeches: Dignitaries, including representatives from the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), underscored the importance of women’s empowerment in driving local economic growth.
  • Beneficiary Stories: Graduates shared transformative experiences, illustrating how the training elevated their snail farming and soap-making businesses.
  • Product Exhibition: Beneficiaries showcased their market-ready products, celebrating their creativity and entrepreneurial achievements.
  • Networking Opportunities: The event facilitated connections between beneficiaries and potential partners, fostering collaborative growth.

Despite logistical challenges, the event successfully demonstrated CGEP’s transformative impact and its potential to drive sustainable economic development.

How You Can Help: Your support ensures we can train and empower even more women, transforming lives and communities. A donation of just $50 provides essential materials for one participant. Together, we can turn waste into wealth and build a sustainable future.

Thank you for believing in the power of green innovation and rural empowerment. Donate today to make a lasting impact!
