Our Community Empowerment focus area aims to implement practical and sustainable solutions that address challenges related to skills development and unemployment faced by our communities.
In Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, we tackle critical challenges related to unemployment, food scarcity, limited access to education and healthcare, financial empowerment, wildlife poaching, and the preservation of natural resources.
Our community empowerment initiatives are designed to uplift and empower local communities through programs that create job opportunities and support local economic development. Projects include skills training and development, empowering women-led businesses through arts, crafts, and goods manufacturing for trade and food security through community and school gardens.
This pillar is feeding the community, creating jobs for the unemployed, providing entrepreneurship training and opportunities that will enable the community to tap into additional streams of income as well as generate economic activity for the community. Funds raised will support projects including a community garden that aims to feed 45 families, Vuche Vuche basket weaving, and trade that is creating income opportunities for vulnerable communities.
