Help in constructing a community clean spring water chamber of 1000 gallons, storage tank of 3000 gallons, 3000m PVC pipeline, 5 stand up taps as well as further training in water management will provide 3000 persons in 300 households with available accessible fresh water supply. The water will help them in overcoming existing severe water crisis and related waterborne infections that hinder successful engagement in important good domestic, socioeconomic and environmental practices.
Weh village has a good pipeborne water supply system but has never succeeded to supply it to its enclave breadbasket areas of Kelang community. So, for decades since the first settlers established Kelang as a community in Weh village, the inhabitants have been suffering from acute lack of portable water and waterborne infections that hinder successful engagement in important domestic, socioecononic and environment-friendly practices, trek long distances to fetch water in increasing drying state
This project will help the community of Kelang to construct a clean spring water chamber of 1000 gallons, storage tank of 3000 gallons, 3000m length of PVC piped pipeline and 5 stand up taps and further training the community in water management skills. This will help in harnessing clean spring water uphill, channel it to storage tank, distribute to the community through taps and empower them to manage water well and succeed in important domestic, socioeconomic, and environmental practices.
In the long term, the community will have constant acess to available fresh clean safe water supply system and competent management committee. This will help end water crisis and related waterborne infections and continuously boost in the associated hygiene and sanitation, agricultural and ecosystem friendly lifestyles in future for the community of Kelang and it's passers by.
