Thank you for your support of scholarship funds for 1st South African Comprehensive Cleft Care Workshop (CCCW).
We are proud to share highlights from our the event, held in Cape Town, South Africa, on October 23-24, 2025. We welcomed 146 attendees from 28 countries for an immersive experience dedicated to advancing cleft care through collaboration and knowledge sharing by 27 world-renowned international and African experts in the field
Over these two days, cleft care experts, surgeons, speech therapists, psychologists, dental specialists, and healthcare professionals from across South Africa and the globe came together to learn about cleft care techniques with specific applications to the Sub-Saharan region, deepen their knowledge of best practices, and set the stage to improve access to high-quality care for their patients.
GSF plans to hold a bi-annual CCCW in South Africa and this event is just the beginning of our commitment to transforming cleft care in the African continent.
Our next CCCW will take place in Cartgena, Colombia in November 2025. You can find more information at cleftworkshop.org.
