You may have mixed reactions to this news, but ODA has identified and cleaned 5 new sites in the last couple months.
The bad news is that there's more debris in more places, but the good news is that your ODA ocean cleanup crew is ON IT!
Here're our new sites. You can click the links to read the stories!
And since I last wrote to you, there have been some milestones:
In between all the things I mention above, we've been consistently cleaning other sites in Hawai'i and California.
Because of your support, we can return to known debris sites and remove ghost gear and rubbish that continually piles up!
Your care and concern for coastal waters and the ocean wildlife who call these places "home" is inspirational to us at ODA. You keep us going!
With boatloads of thanks and a commitment to keep working for a debris-free sea,
Kurt

P.S. if you only have time to do one thing, my top two suggestions for you to pick from:
1) If you have 12 minutes, watch Defending the Deep -- here.
2.) Check out Renee Capozzola's excellent underwater photography in this story about the Deep Step site -- here.
