For the past several months our Clean Water team has been visiting numberous villages in northern Thailand to assess community water resources and immediate water supply needs. We are identifying and prioritizing the clean water needs and which projects we can complete that will have the greatest impact on the largest communities.
One recurring need that is a high priortiy in numberous rural villages is the replacement of the deteriating water storage tanks and the water filter systems. Many of the water tanks are no longer water tight and slowly leak clean water resulting in water supply crisis several times a month. The water filter systems no longer function efficiently due to rust and lack of filter maintenance.
As funds become available, we are making plans to replace old water tanks and filter systems, beginning with the villages with the greatest needs. Thank you for helping us meet this essential need so that many rural villages can maintain the health and growth of their families and farms.
