In mid-March the FCF Clean Water Project was contacted by a young farmer located about 5 hours north of Chiang Mai, Thailand requesting our help. He was planning to start a pig farm in the remote town of Baan Aajo to provide extra income for his family and meet a growing need in his own village and the surrounding area for a pork supplier. One problem he faced was the inconsistent and poor quality water that was supplied to his home and farm. He was located at the far end of the village that receives the last of the water coming from springs about 3 kilometers away. By the time the water reached his side of the village, often it was very little volume and quite dirty.
With the help of our friend in the Mae Hong Son area, we had a 1000 liter water tank and heavy duty sediment filter delivered to the farm. We were able to install the system in one day and test the system. Now CaSae has a clean water supply to care for his family and help insure the health of his pig farm and the prosperity of his business and service to the community.
