Having access to a clean and reliable water supply in the mountain villages of rural Thailand can be very difficult. Water sources change periodically and rerouting the supply line often results in loss of water for days and dirty water when the supply returns. And when trying to develop a pig farm to provide for the financial needs of the family, a dependable clean water supply is essential.
For Sela, the solution was to make contact with one of our field staff and request a water tank and filter system to provide a reserve of about a week of clean water when the water supply is interrupted. Sela has been able to develop a healthy herd of pigs with an adequate supply of clean water -- and looking to expand his herd in the near future.
