A clean water supply is vital to help small businesses be successful, meeting the financial needs of the owners and workers, and strengthening the entire community.
One of the many challenges in running a successful pig farm in the rural villages of Northern Thailand is to maintain clean stalls so that the pig herd is not infected with any disease, especially the swine flu. A clean water supply is essential for maintaining the cleanliness necessary to manage a healthy herd of swine.
Suphot and his wife Warunee are excited to build new stalls and purchase 10 - 12 sows this month to start their pig farm in the northern Thailand village of Huai Tong, Mae Hong Son. Family Connection Foundation through the Clean Water Project has provided the equipment and materials needed to contruct a permanant, reliable, clean water system for the pig farm operation.
All the best to Suphot and Warunee as they work hard together to establish their pig farm and help build the economic strength of their rural village of Huai Tong.
