Northeast of Chiang Mai, Thailand about a 5 hour drive is the Lahu village of Mae Pun Luang. Recently some generous families in the village donated some prime realestate overlooking the village for the construction of a village Learning Center.
This new Learning Center will provide a place in which people from surrounding villages can gather to learn English as a second language, receive basic first aid medical training, or learn about the latest innovations in agricultural production among the hill tribes. The community Learning Center will provide a variety of seminars and classes at no cost to help equip the people to build stronger local economies and educational opportunities.
Famiily Connection Foundation was able to assist in the construction of a dedicated water supply for the Learning Center. The water supply will meet the water needs of those staying in the Learning Center cabins and using the on-site cafeteria. With a steady supply of clean water for the Learning Center, all the participants can focus on gaining useful knowledge and developing new skills to grow their communities academically and economically.
