Hey friends,
This report probably seems a long time coming but Mama Baby construction is now complete! Their new clinic is finally ready for us to install a Water system at.
The team at Mama Baby has had a lot of setbacks due to all the turmoil in Haiti and the difficulties their staff has had at finding supplies and staying safe while building.
About two weeks ago, Fernando called me to tell me they were putting the finishing touches on the building and running electric and plumbing. We just so happened to be leaving the next day for our Water House project in Uganda so I told him we would chat after the trip.
Upon my return- the clinic is ready to go! Now we just have the challenge of planning our travel and getting the equipment there safely. We hope to do some planning in the next month and get a trip on the calendar if things stabilize in Haiti. We will keep you updated as always but we were excited to share this accomplishment of the clinic and the renewed timeline for getting clean water to these mamas and babies!
Thank you for your continuing patience and support as we figure out how to make this project happen!
Sara
