Dear Supporters,
Your continued generosity & support has allowed us to continue our efforts to improve water and sanitation for all 1,200 school children at Entebbe UMEA Primary School. Since the installation of the new water pump and tank, we have been able to maintain clean and safe drinking water for every student every day.
With the ongoing strain of the pandemic, we are continuing to provide training and resources to reinforce handwashing at the school. Additionally, we are still improving the bathrooms to ensure that all students, and especially girl students, feel safe and comfortable. We will work on the sanitation improvements throughout 2022 and hope to complete by the end of the year.
We know that improving quality of life and creating an environment where people are empowered to thrive requires holistic development. In addition to improving water access, we’re improving health access by building & running the only primary health care clinic in the area. This is an expansion of our existing nutrition efforts (hear from one of our students about the success of the lunch program here).
Donate here to bring healthcare access to the people of Wasiko!
In Solidarity,
The Tender Grassroots Team
