Cityzens Giving for Recovery Yokohama- Report

By Michael Clemons | Founder

We are planning our summer camp "Designing Art Academy" this summer which was founded in 2008. Each summer for one week, until the pandemic, we held a week-long camp for kids in the homes we support.

We received a message on Facebook from one of the youth recently in English:

K-san of Port Kanegaya in Yokohama City, who was taken care of by DAA in the summer of 2015 and 2019. do you remember?

I was allowed to see your Facebook page from time to time. Everyone seems to be fine as usual, and above all.

I haven't seen you in 2019 at the end of a recent pandemic. sad. I want to meet soon.

At that time I was in the second year of junior high school, but now I'm in the first year of high school.

Corona has a lot of influence, but I'm having a good time with a smile every day.

Also, I want to make new memories while talking with everyone with a smile.

Let's spend time with each other until then. thank you.

This year we will hold the camp at British School in Tokyo in the first week of August. Many artists have already signed up for the opportunity to teach the kids.

We will be busing in the kids from Yokohama and other areas outside central Tokyo and hopefully give more kids like K-san memories.

The theme of this year is I heART me. A focus on the kids building their self esteem.

Thank you for your generous donations which make this come true for so many.

Regards,
