Choice Living Community believes that all adults with disabilities deserve a quality place to attend during the day that will allow them an opportunity to continue a daily structured schedule that empowers them to be more independent. Our mission is to provide a day transition center that delivers these innovative and individualized programs to advance the achievement and knowledge for our clients in the areas of vocational, life, and social skills.
There are currently over 800 students with disabilities in Nueces County that will be entering adult life within the next year and will need a place to attend during the day. Although Choice Living is working diligently to close the gap in the number of adults with disabilities that are staying at home, there are still more than 8,000 special needs students that will need assistance once leaving public education.
Choice Living Community provides innovative and individualized programs to advance the achievement and knowledge of adults with disabilities in the area(s) of vocational, social, and life skills.
The project will provide an opportunity for over 100 adults with disabilities to leave their homes during the day and have a structured place to attend and continue to work on their social, life, and vocational skills.
