Replenishment books for 2024-25 – The 40 books meant as replenishment books for the existing BREAD School library’s have been printed. Of the forty books, 20 of them are in Telugu, 11 of them in English and 9 of them in Hindi. The books were selected taking into consideration the feedback from teachers who were seeking more Hindi Language books. We have started distributing the books to the existing libraries established by BREAD Society. We expect to complete this activity by End September.
New BREAD Libraries: We have also established 21 new libraries during this financial year (2024-25). This brings the total libraries established to 1910.
As we inch towards the 2000 mark, it is time also to reminisce on where we started around 15 years back when we established our first library in a village in Andhra Pradesh. Small beginnings. A while back we computed that this numbers means that we have reached close to 5% of the high schools in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states of India. Much done.. much more to do..
We would not have been able to achieve any of this without the active support of people like you who have generously and selflessly donated your hard earned money for cause of bringing books closer to children who might not otherwise have access to them.
