Sub-Saharan Africa remains the region with the highest under-five mortality rate in all regions in the world, with 1 child in 12 dying before his or her fifth birthday, a far higher than the average ratio of 1 in 147 in high-income countries. The region is home to most of the highest mortality countries in the world. Nigeria's estimated population of 177 million in 2021 (projected from the 1991 National Population Census) makes it the largest country in sub-Saharan Africa.
VSCWC Wellness event will provide free (for needy children) child healthcare wellness checks, where possible, including medicine for child illness, immunizations, and basic health services. Our NGO will aim to provide free health care to all the local orphanages/special needs in the local vicinity and open to the rural areas within the vicinity. This project will be yearly but with a setup of an ongoing daily local wellness clinic while the yearly event will tackle one-off cases like Cleft Lip.
VSCWC Wellness Center will establish a state-of-the-art, world-class health center for Nigerian children. Over time our NGO aim to provide medical services for over 1 million children, from preventive treatments to surgical complex medical care as and when required. The NGO will employ the doctors and health professionals in not only taking care of the children, but also helping other health facilities and local professionals in Nigeria. We are here to grow a healthy nation and rewrite history.
