My Dear Donors,
First I would like to thank you all for your  generous contrbutions
I would like to thank all medical staff who are volunterring their time and expertise to help children with heart conditions in remote areas of Egypt like Upper Egypt
The funds from donors from GlobalGiving are merged with funds from Rotary International and Rotary clubs reaching around 90K USD as a Rotary Grant.
We have operated on the first patient a five year old boy from Sohag 600 km south of Cairo and we did a catheter procedure to close the hole in the heart using a very expensive device the device cost is 2500 USD. The child went home the next day cured thanks to Donors from all over the world contributions. (Consent for photos taken and signed)

In my next report after getting all relevant consents I will attach all photos of children cured.
We're excited to announce that in March a team of health professionals from the UK, US and Austria will visit at their own expense our Cardiology department to see our work with children with heart defects. This, we hope, will boost publicity and encourage even more support.
The Covid 19 Pandemic has been challenging to all of us but we are glad to report that we have not deviated from our aims of this appeal.
I hope the year 2022 brings more donations and more happiness to children with heart defects and their families.
Yours
Dr Amal El-Sisi
