The children, youth, parents and staff of the Dzherelo Children's Rehabilitation Centre in Lviv, Ukraine send you their warmest greetings, and thank you for your support in making big dreams come true.

Lately the pandemic changed our usual lives. Lviv region has been one of the top five regions in Ukraine by the numbers of new daily coronavirus cases since the start of spring. New patients come into our city hospitals every day. The coronavirus situation affects the daily activities of our Centre as well. In this uneasy situation we understand that hydrotherapy and exercises that involve common usage of water increases risk of coronavirus infection for our children.

Due to quarantine restrictions we are focusing mostly on one to one sessions with all the safety precautions instead of hydrotherapy. And children continue to receive physical and occupation therapy, aimed at

  1. Gait training (walking)
  2. Improving postural control
  3. Stretching and strengthening activities and exercises to increase a child’s range and quality of movement
  4. Physical therapy helps to develop endurance for children who need it
  5. Establishing or reshaping movement patterns to follow normal development

In 2021, our main goal is to continue supporting Dzherelo's children and youth with special needs and their families who found themselves vulnerable and needed our support. Please share the opportunity to help children with disability in Ukraine with your friends.

Thank you again.
We are looking forward to celebraiting a joyfull Easter here and sending you our best wishes and Happy Holidays!
