Vulnerable children and their families are more exposed to the impact to the COVID-19 crisis than others. SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria work with the most vulnerable and need the support of donors for purchasing of disinfection and sanitation supplies, face protection masks, computers and digital tools for home schooling of children and young people, materials and services for organizing workshops in small groups and entertainment activities for children, employment of additional caregivers.
Right now SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria take care after more than 550 children and their families. The crisis was unexpected and the organization needs additional funds to cover its immediate needs to the situation.
The children and the caregivers will have sanitation materials. The school students will be able to participate in and to join their class-mates in the virtual class-room. The children will be able to continue their development even in the times of crisis.
The long-term impact is to fill in the financial gap in the budget for the children. The crisis was unexpected and in the budget means are not foreseen for such an unprecedented situation.
