Dear Friend,
Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative helping very young women go into early marriage. This situation is gravely disadvantageous to them and their children as their physical bodies as well as their ability to improve their economic situation is less and less. This reporting period we try to find ways that their livelihoods are increased by way of processing agricultural harvest from the farm. An association consolidate the harvest and then this is processed, packed and labeled for local markets. This is done in order to improve value, increase shelf-life to otherwise very perishable products and increase the overall welfare of beneficiaries. We were able to process turmeric and ginger, corn and cacao as well as banana. So far marketing is good and there is the plan to expand operations. Again, thank you so much for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
