Working hard, changing lives at MAMA AC

By Gilberto Arias | Director General

At MAMA A.C., we keep on working so that more and more children and adolescents complete their studies at the primary and secondary level, with the help of face-to-face classes and academic reinforcement in the most difficult areas. Our beneficiaries are between the ages of 10 and 17 and for economic, social, family reasons, among others, they drop out of their studies or have never been taken to formal school. At MAMA A.C. we support vulnerable beneficiaries by guaranteeing the right to education, through the MEVyT Program (program for children and adolescents who have not completed their formal education) of the INEA (National Institute for Adult Education).

In these months of the year 2023, 189 sessions of face-to-face classes have been carried out for the degrees of literacy, primary and open secondary; benefiting a total of 59 children and adolescents in vulnerable situations.

126 sessions of INEA Modules have been worked on in order for the beneficiaries to advance in their basic studies.

Every month, INEA exams are carried out that certify said progress.

In the month of April, Children's Day was celebrated with the population reminding them of the right to recreation.

English workshops continued once a week that allow the beneficiaries to learn another language and have opportunities both in education and employment.

Workshops are provided with the mairos where they are given tools for daily life where they are told about a life project and they are given accompaniment.

In the dining room service, the beneficiaries are guaranteed the right to food, providing 2,233 dishes served to the beneficiaries.

We also provide the psychopedagogy service.

We have grown the enrollment to 62 beneficiaries.
