One challenge at a time, one breakthrough at a time—that’s how we’re shaping the future. In this last quarter, participants took on different challenges, applied problem-solving skills, and saw the word "SUCCESS" pop up on their screens. A simple word, but a powerful reminder that learning, perseverance, and innovation lead to great achievements.
IGS Robotics
Participants have been engaged in a yearlong Robotics class. In one of their classes, they took on the "Container Challenge," aiming to use their coding skills to program a robot to locate objects, return them to a designated area, and repeat the process. To guide them, we introduced videos showing how to check robot ports—particularly the gyro sensor—and a step-by-step demonstration of completing the challenge.
Following this, participants started coding in small increments, testing each block to ensure accuracy and precision before moving forward. By the end of the session, one group successfully programmed their robot to collect an object and make the necessary turn. We will continue as we encourage participants to perfect their approach and see how many groups can achieve the goal.
Engineering Design
Fueling curiosity, one experiment at a time! In our latest engineering design session at IGS, participants explored the power of chemical reactions with the Rocket Canister Project. Using Alka-Seltzer and water, they observed how gas buildup creates enough force to launch a canister into the air! Through this hands-on activity, they learned about pressure, propulsion, and the principles of rocketry—all - while having a blast!
TD Room Renovation and Equipping
We invested 10,000,000 to completely revitalize two dilapidated classrooms into state-of-the-art Technical Drawing facilities. The newly renovated space now accommodates 50 students and features custom TD desks, stools, and all essential learning tools. This comprehensive renovation has created a modern learning environment that supports technical education and skill development for our students.
Science Laboratories Maintenance: Our commitment to academic excellence led to further improvements in the science laboratories, ensuring students have access to state-of-the-art facilities.
Creative Writing & Poetry
This year saw a record participation of over 100 students in our literary competitions, celebrating the power of language and creative expression.
