Project Report - Celebrating Women Who Shape Us

By Nambowa Ruth Bulyaba | Executive Director

Project Goal: To empower 200 women in Wakiso, Butambala, and Mityana Districts of Uganda by providing access to skills training, entrepreneurship development, financial literacy, and community building, with a special focus on recognizing and celebratingmothers.

Progress Towards Goal:

We are eager to launch this impactful project, but unfortunately, it has not yet received the necessary financial support to begin implementation. As a result, we have not been able to:

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify specific skills training programs.
  • Secure training venues and recruit qualified instructors.
  • Develop the curriculum for financial literacy and entrepreneurship development.
  • Organize community events to celebrate and recognize mothers.

Challenges Encountered:

The main challenge has been attracting initial funding for the project. We have found that donors are often more inclined to support projects with tangible, immediate outcomes, such as providing food or shelter. However, we believe that investing in women's long-term empowerment is crucial for sustainable development.

Next Steps:

We are determined to overcome this funding hurdle and bring this project to life. Our next steps include:

  • Refining our fundraising strategy to highlight the long-term impact of empowering women.
  • Developing compelling storytelling content that showcases the potential of the women we aim to serve.
  • Actively seeking out grant opportunities and partnerships with organizations that align with our mission.

Impact of Your Support:

Despite the delayed start, we remain incredibly excited about the potential of this project. With your support, we can:

  • Equip women with valuable skills and knowledge to improve their livelihoods and economic opportunities.
  • Foster entrepreneurship and create a ripple effect of positive change in their communities.
  • Promote financial literacy and empower women to make informed decisions about their finances.
  • Celebrate the vital role of mothers and create a supportive network for women.

We believe that empowering women is essential for building a stronger, more equitable society. We urge you to consider supporting "Celebrating Women Who Shape Us" and help us unlock the potential of these incredible women.

Thank you for your understanding and continued interest in this important project.
