As we head towards the end of the school year we have a busy programme of events in schools. One of the areas of our work that is growing is work in primary schools. This summer we will be working in 12 primary schools in Norwich, mostly running Enterprise Days. These offer students as young as 9 or 10 the chance to work in teams to develop ideas for new products or services, sometimes addressing a specific challenge, like climate change. They get the chance to problem-solve, be creative, work in teams and present their ideas to judges. These are the sorts of skills that we believe will be useful to them in their future careers, whatever path they choose.
Form the Future isn't alone in believing these are important skills. Various organisations from the World Economic Forum to the OECD to Deloitte agree. But the education system hasn't yet caught up.
This is why our work is so important, and your support makes it possible.
If you're not already making a regular monthly contribution, please consider doing so. GlobalGiving will match the first month's contribution when your giving continues after three months. These bonus funds really help us make sure we can support as many young people as possible.
Thank you for your continuing support.
Kind regards,
Anne
