The ambulance is needed for the older persons to transport them to and fro the hospitals, drive the older persons from their home to the geriatric center for support and take the older persons to recreation centers. The Aged family Uganda support 200 older persons in their homes and 50 older persons in the resident home at the Headwaters of The Aged Family Uganda. The ambulance shall support the venerable and sick people of the areas as well as increased mobility for the staff of (TAFU)
The older persons are the most vulnerable and neglected age group in Uganda, The Aged suffer from many problems which include isolation, diseases, poverty and HIV. The aged are now caring for the orphaned grand children as an effect of HIV. Many times the aged once they are sick they are not taken to hospital due to the problem of mobility. The hill naturally and sometimes they end up dying.
The ambulance shall be used to transport the aged , the venerable and the sick to hospitals. The ambulance shall also provide transport means to the staff of The Aged Family Uganda as they move to provide care services to the older persons from their homes. the ambulance shall transport the aged from their homes to the Geriatric center of (TAFU) for the conversion of the older persons every week.
The older persons shall benefit by increasing longevity.
