Dear Friend
When I last reported back to you at the end of October, I reported how “frustratingly slow” things were moving in the progress of completing the new toilets and hand washing facilities. Holes had been dug for the new toilets, but no new work had started, and at the time building was expected to start shortly.
Things have not changed much since then! I have got to the bottom of the delay, and this was because a builder who specialises in Latrine work had not been appointed by the contractor we had assigned to the project. We had lots of excuses along the way, but our patience had worn thin!
As I write today a new builder has been found who is a specialist in Latrine building and is approved by the local Rural District Council to do this work. I am now trying to tie up the technicalities in authorising the new builder to officially be given the go ahead, and agreeing the costs and payment route.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me to be able to sort this in the very near future!
Best wishes
Yours sincerely
Danny Lovey
