This is the painted school ready for dedication.
Happy Holidays to everyone who has helped make this project a possibility. When last our team visited El Sauce in Las Vegas, Honduras, they went to the dedication of the school. It is now all painted and in use by the children of this lovely mountain village.
Thank you all so very much. This gift of education you have given will last generations and help many hundreds of children to get an education in this community. With time, that will raise the standard of living in the entire area.
On behalf of these children and their families and all the volunteers and staff of World Accord, we would wish for you the very best for the holiday season and throughout 2020.

Photos of Completed School

This is a follow up to the September Report. It includes some photos of the school project. In no. 1 you can see that the walls are up and there is a small extension on the left hand side that is for 1 boy's and 1 girl's bathroom.
In photos 2 and 3 you can see the roof joists have begun going up.
Next is the completed school.
In the interior photo we can see that the doors and windows have been added. They are steel with steel mesh that allows the cool mountain breeze to keep the interior at a comfortable temperature. You can also see that the wiring is done. The main door is on the right. The back door on the left is next to the two bathroom doors.
My understanding is that the children in the community are now using this school. When I get photos of that, it will conclude my final report.
This school represents excellent value for the money donated and will be used in El Sauce for many years. Thank you again for your contribution to making this school a reality for the children in this community.

September Update

Great news everyone. I am happy to report that I was talking with the people down in Honduras this morning and learned that the walls of the school are up, the roof is on and they are currently working on pouring the concrete floor. After the floor is poured the next step will be to get the floor tiled followed by the installation of the washrooms. The project is coming along according to schedule and there will be happy children in it come the next school year. I have requested pictures and will be uploading them as soon as I receive them. Thank you so much for helping making this happen. The children in this community are so very grateful for the opportunities this school will bring in their lives.
