By Bernie Jones | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
It has been raining since our last report. Which is great for the community, and their farms. But it means that the final bits of progress on building the teachers' houses, with your generous donations, have needed to wait until the rains stop. It's pretty hard to do building work, or even to reach the community, when it's pouring down.
But the new school rooms are being used to good effect, with more children than ever being taught in the school that you have all helped build. The attached satellite image shows the new school building at the top of the picture, along with the solar power plant we have built to support entrepreneurship in the community.
We look forward to giving you a fuller update next time, with the completion of the teachers houses. In the meantime, if you'd like to share this project with friends and family, to help us make the school even bigger, to be able to education even more of the children of the village, the whole community of Kiruru would be very grateful.
Many thanks and best regards
Bernie
