Summer of New Beginnings

Two baby girl horses were born at the ranch and are now part of our organization. We are beginning a long journey of gentle care and regular training for the two ladies. With the help of our supporters one day they will bring joy and help children with disabilities to improve their physical and mental health.

In the meantime the summer program for Free Therapeutic Riding for Children with Disabilities went very fast. Our students showed great improvement in their skills, some of them even took the reins of the horse themselves. That is a major breakthrough on their path to independence as they grow into adulthood. Their parents cherish the benefits of the therapy. The fact the therapy is free releases them from the financial burden they carry.

Our organization continued working on the expanding the outreach of equine-assisted therapy. We organized the first training with 5 partner European organizations aimed to develop innovative environmentally sustainable outdoor activities for young women. We became one of the founding members of the European Youth Outdoor Network dedicated to connecting the youth with nature and outdoor activities. The event and the Network are part of the project Youth Going Back to Nature – Engage, Connect, Empower. Our team participated in training in Brussels, Belgium for ways of building skills through therapy animals under the BUSTA project. We are also excited to participate in a new venture to promote social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in rural areas through the use of outdoor experiences in alternative augmented communication. These projects are supported by the Erasmus+ Program.

We are looking forward to continuing our work and providing free therapeutic riding together with our supporters! This Holiday season we will try ensure the Program continues without interruption in 2024.
