Winter is almost over and we are all looking forward to starting the new season of our Program for Free Therapeutic Riding. Thanks to our supporters we continue the Program for the 5th year! We continue working on the establishing the center where we will be able to expand the Program with more children and activities.
This year we will be welcoming a new child in our group of beneficiaries. He is very enthusiastic and curious about animals. He loves going in the pasture and walking between the horses. He is still a little afraid to go on the horse but we will go through that together.
Situations like his are common and we are glad to share our professional experience. We do it by connecting to other professionals not only in the field of equine-assisted therapy but beyond within the project ‘’Youth in Equine-Assisted Therapy’’. With our international partners of the project we created the YEAT Guidelines which can be found here. In the Guidelines people with disabilities, youth workers, and other professionals can find useful information and case studies about equine-assisted therapy. The initiative is one of our ways to ensure we provide high quality services with care for the children with disabilities, their parents, and the therapy horses we look after.
