Katalemwa Cheshire Home put in place different measures as a response to the COVID- 19 pandemic that has impacted the normal living for billions of people globally. This situation caught us unaware and we resolved to diverting funds to procure items that prevent the spread of COVID-19 among the Katalemwa Community. Katalemwa has a population of over 100 people which include children with disabilities and their caretakers.
Activities
We scaled down the number of people that are at the center as a social distancing measure and only remained with the ones in critical condition: undergoing post-operative care and require closer monitoring. We currently have 30 people ( children and cargivers).
We procured sanitizers, hand washing cans and nutritional food stuff.
